Mr. Gakhar primarily practices in the areas of family law, personal injury and criminal defence. Mr. Gakhar has extensive Court experience. He has appeared numerous times before the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Justice. He has represented clients in various family law and divorce proceedings including but not limited to parenting, child support, spousal support and property division issues. He has further defended clients charged with criminal offences such as assaults, impaired and dangerous driving, vandalism and theft. He has also appeared in Youth Court defending young offenders. Mr. Gakhar is the founding and managing partner of GSD Law Group.

Prior to founding GSD Law Group in 2014, Mr. Gakhar articled with Mount Royal Law Office in 2012 where he gained experience in different areas of law. Mr. Gakhar’s diligence during his articling period made him a partner at the same firm forming Ford Gakhar Law Office in 2013. Mr. Gakhar graduated from law school in 2007 and was actively practicing in India until 2009 when he migrated to Canada.

Mr. Gakhar is actively involved in his community and provides legal guidance on a pro-bono basis to those who need assistance. Further to his voluntary services, Mr. Gakhar enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with his family.
